YAU's Struggle Gets Support from Kak Ogy
THE charitable organization Yayasan Ammirul Ummah (YAU) continues to actively organize various Islamic and charitable programs both domestically and internationally.
Previously, the foundation, which was founded in Terengganu, has helped a lot in the development of mosques and the welfare of tahfiz children and orphans in the archipelago, especially Malaysia and Indonesia. In addition, YAU is also active in managing a large amount of Al-Quran endowment programs.
What's interesting is that YAU also invited top celebrity, Fauziah Dato Ahmad Daud (Ogy) to help with the noble campaign that they often carry out from time to time.
Most recently, YAU also organised a Children's Education Programme for the Hereafter, which was supported by the Terengganu State Education Department (JPNT) and the sponsor. The aim was to distribute flash cards of the first and last verses of Surah Al-Kahfi to students and teachers in the Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus districts.
YAU Director, Mohd Kamal Ismail said the purpose of distributing flash cards was to encourage students to always read, memorize and understand the verses, because of their great importance.
"The selection of Surah Al-Kahfi was made because of the advantages it has. As narrated by Imam Muslim, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Whoever memorizes the first 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahfi will be saved from the slander of the Antichrist.
"The verses of this surah will be read by the students and teachers every morning before starting the teaching and learning session," he said.
Kamal said that in conjunction with last Ramadan, YAU also invited school students to watch the short film Aidil & Atok, directed by Ogy and starring Zaidi Omar and Aiman Bacrul's younger brother.
"The Aidil & Atok film was previously produced specifically for YAU as a medium for them to share teaching messages and noble values to the community, especially children," he said.
Aidil & Atok tells the story of an orphan, a child, Aidil (Aiman Badrul) who receives a perfect education from his grandfather (Zaidi Omar). Aidi is secretly willing to sacrifice his own savings to donate to a mosque because he understands that a palace will be built for his late father and mother in heaven.
Meanwhile, Kamal said, YAU has also distributed food baskets to thousands of students who applied for assistance.
“We hope that through this program we can benefit the local community and thus assist in the development of education and instill Islamic values among the younger generation. “In addition, we have also carried out several other activities such as the first prayer and tahli perdana, the Al-Quran waqf program, online fidyah, cleaning toilets in 100 mosques and distributing food for poor students,” he said.
