Donggala – Yayasan Amirul Ummah (YAU) in collaboration with the Islamic Malayan Banking Employees Association (PKIMB) has successfully inaugurated the Miftahul Jannah Mosque in Batusuya Goo Village, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. The construction of this mosque is the result of close cooperation that brings together Muslims from two countries, namely Malaysia and Indonesia, with the aim of helping the community that was severely affected by the 2018 Palu earthquake.
The opening ceremony, attended by the Governor of Central Sulawesi, H. Rusdy Mastura, as well as other district officials, was a sign of gratitude for the construction of the new mosque which is now a stronger and more comfortable center of worship for the local community.
The head of PKIMB, Johari Bin Ismail, in his speech emphasized the importance of Islamiyah brotherhood that goes beyond national borders. "We feel honored to be able to play a role in the development of this mosque. This collaboration is a real proof of how Muslims in various countries can unite to help our brothers and sisters in need," said Johari. The hope is that Miftahul Jannah Mosque can become a center of religious and social activities for the benefit of the entire community.
The Chairman of the Amirul Ummah Foundation, Rizki Mujahidin, also expressed his gratitude to PKIMB and the donors who sincerely contributed to make this construction a success. "Most of the people who donated and helped for this mosque are people we don't know, but they sincerely donated a little wealth for this construction. This is a tangible form of international Islamic brotherhood that we hope can continue to be established," he said.
Governor H. Rusdy Mastura also expressed his high appreciation to PKIMB and YAU. "This mosque is a symbol of brotherhood and a strong spirit of mutual cooperation, especially after the disaster. Hopefully the presence of this mosque will strengthen the faith and solidarity of the Donggala community," he said.
For the local residents, the new mosque is a beacon of hope. Fandi, one of the community representatives, expressed gratitude that after a long wait, they finally have a better and more comfortable place of worship.
The inauguration of the Miftahul Jannah Mosque is not just a physical construction, but also a symbol of strong Islamic brotherhood between countries and sincere assistance for the well-being of the local community.
