Children's Education for the Hereafter Program encourages students to understand Surah Al-Khafi
YAYASAN Ammirul Ummah together with Fauziah Ahmad Daud, Terengganu State Education Department (JPNT), and various other parties have organized the Children's Education Program for the Hereafter.
Through this program, Yayasan Ammirul Ummah has distributed Flash Cards of the first and last verses of Surah Al-Kahfi to students and teachers in schools in the Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus districts.
Director of Yayasan Ammirul Ummah, Mohd Kamal Ismail said the purpose of distributing the Flash Cards was to encourage students to read, memorize and understand the verses.
"The selection of Surah Al-Kahfi was done based on the advantages it has. As narrated by Imam Muslim, Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "Whoever memorizes 10 verses from the beginning of Surah Al-Kahfi will be saved from the slander of Dajjal.
"The verses of this surah will be read by students and teachers every morning before starting the teaching and learning session," he explained.
Mohd Kamal added that in conjunction with this Ramadan, his party also invited students to watch the film "Aidil dan Atok" directed by Fauziah or Ogy.
This film tells the story of a child who receives an excellent education from his grandfather.
His grandfather successfully educated Aidil to the point where he was willing to sacrifice his savings to give his parents a palace in the afterlife, even though he really wanted gadgets like other children today.
"As an encouragement, the Ammirul Ummah Foundation has distributed free Exclusive Funds to students who participated in this program. A total of 23,298 parents and teachers have participated.
"We hope that through this program, we can benefit the local community and help in the development of education and good Islamic values among the younger generation," he said.
Apart from that, Yayasan Ammirul Ummah has also carried out several other activities such as prayer and first tahlil prayers, the Quranic waqf program, Fidyah Online, cleaning 100 mosque toilets, and food distribution to poor students in collaboration with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), Pertima, Etika, MSM Prai Berhad, Faiza, Adabi, Konsortium Kilang Beras, Gula Prai, Desa Murni, UWM Holdings Berhad, Kedai Emas Saufi, Kedai Emas Mokhtar, KMI Healthcare, and others.
