ARTIST Fauziah Datuk Ahmad Daud described the current situation experienced by Palestinians as educating her about spiritual jihad.
Fauziah, or more affectionately known as Ogy, 61, explained that despite having been through a war with Israel for the past seven decades, their faith remains strong in ALLAH SWT.
"Every day we are presented with the current situation in the Gaza Strip, how many have been martyred and no less injured."
"What I admire about them is that their faith never wavers. Even though some have lost their mothers, fathers, children or entire family members, their faith and spiritual jihad in the One GOD is very great."
"We always complain about facing trials, but they there are going through more difficult trials but they always pray and keep praying to ALLAH," he told Sinar Harian.
Therefore, said the Bunga Hati star, all humans must unite, especially Muslims, and extend donations to their brothers and sisters in Palestine.
Fauziah explained that she was honored to be given the opportunity to serve together through Yayasan Ammirul Ummah (YAU).
"In my opinion, we should be people of kindness. We cannot fight with weapons, but we fight with prayer, solidarity and financial assistance."
"We should be grateful that we are still alive, that we can see all the destruction that is happening in Gaza and that we have the opportunity to contribute to the cause of ALLAH. Not everyone gets that opportunity," he explained, who together with YAU channeled a donation of RM10,000 to Palestine through Cinta Gaza Malaysia.
Sharing further about her involvement with YAU, Fauziah said that she has been with the foundation for three years, donating the Quran and building mosques in Indonesia.
"In addition, with the foundation, I was involved in the Quranic endowment until I was able to set foot in Bandung, Indonesia," he said, hoping that his involvement with YAU would be a share in the afterlife for him and both his parents, the late Datuk Ahmad Daud and Datin Saadiah.
Fauziah added that YAU always strives to help the less fortunate. Therefore, anyone who wants to participate in the Gaza Emergency Fund program can channel their donations to the Yayasan Amirul Ummah account, CIMB – 8603338318 or Maybank -563019271201.
