GORONTALO, SULAWESI, INDONESIA – Yayasan Amirul Ummah and Iman Care channeled 3,000 waqfs Quran in Gorontalo. Previously, the distribution of 3,000 Al-Qur'ans was carried out with a ceremonial release of volunteer distributors at the Governor's Office of Gorontalo Province.
The release of the volunteers was attended by the District Secretary of Gorontalo Province Darda Daraba who fitted volunteer vests to the partners who joined. The event was also attended by MUI Head Abdur Rahman Abu Bakar Bahmid LC, Gorontalo Provincial DPRD Member Samsu Botutihe as well as several boarding schools such as At-taubah, Sunan Ampel, Kalijaga and Hidayatullah.
While the opening of the event was officially led by the Head of MUI Gorontalo with a ribbon cutting ceremony. A number of partners were also present including HMI, KAMMI, RKP, UKM Tilawah and LDK.
Head of MUI, Abdur Rahman Abu Bakar Bahmid LC expressed his gratitude for the presence and distribution of aid from the Amirul Ummah foundation in Gorontalo. "Gorontalo as the portico of Madinah has become a scourge and we should be ashamed because the first to move and care is precisely from Imancare in Malaysia and the Amirul Ummah in Jakarta," he said, Monday (25/1/2021).
According to Abu Bakar Bahmid, the waqf aid of 3,000 thousand Al-Qurans from the Amirul Ummah foundation should be a trigger for institutions and communities in Gorontalo to be more enthusiastic in sharing with others.
"All institutions must be able to let go of their identity and work together to succeed and spread goodness for various people, especially in Gorontalo Province," he said.
Meanwhile, the Program Director of the Amirul Ummah Foundation, who also represented Iman Care Abdul Rahman, said in his speech that the Amirul Ummah Foundation and Iman Care are committed to presenting the Qur'an in every home, mosque, boarding school, surau and others. "The Amirul Ummah Foundation and Imam Care hope that this program will provide great benefits to the Muslim community in Gorontalo," he said
Rahman also expressed his gratitude to Iman Care and the donors from Malaysia who have cared to give the Alquran waqf to Gorontalo, Indonesia. "May Iman Care and the donors be blessed with sustenance, health and longevity," he concluded.
